Dear Bay View Middle School Families:

I am honored to serve as the Principal of Bay View Middle School, and I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead for our students. Our dedicated faculty and staff are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment where every child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

I firmly believe that every child can be successful and that the partnership between home and school builds trust and provides additional clarity for students. In line with our district mission of working with families and community to ensure that our students have the knowledge and skills to succeed in an ever-changing future, I am dedicated to continuous improvement efforts to meet the needs of all students and the adults who support them.

Our school leadership team met with teachers this summer to review data and to set goals for the upcoming school year. Your students will learn more about these goals in September. I encourage you to engage them in a conversation about each of these important ideas.

• Goal 1: Continue to improve our school climate and sense of belonging for all students.
• Goal 2: All students will meet or exceed typical annual growth in reading as measured by the Star assessment.
• Goal 3: All students will meet or exceed typical annual growth in math as measured by the Star assessment.

Construction efforts are going well and they are currently on schedule.  These new learning spaces are truly impressive and I am excited for the opportunity for you and our students to engage in these new spaces.
